need help with fish tank filter!!!?
i recently bought my first tank with a filter (bought separetly) and im not sure what to expect from the filter. its an internal one but the top is meant to be above the water so i've filled it upto there. i think its correct not sure.
ive noticed that alot of dusty stuff is circulated through the tank, even after i cleaned the filter sponge thingy. is this normal? it looked dirty so i changed about a quarter of the water and its doing the same thing.
my betta fish keeps itself to the corner of the tank when the filter is on but is flying around normally when its off.
what should i do????
The dust in the water is just normal as long as the water is clear, but if there is musky looking stuff floating around and the water is not clear, then there's a problem, and if the betta hides, its probably scared, but hopefully it will just get used to it, Good Luck!!!
