Fly Fishing Tricks

Trout tips or trick help please??
I have been fishing at a lake in Western NY.They stock 4000 brook and brown trout twice a year. But no matter what I toss out there they wont bite the nibble never run.I like to fish from shore with live bait no lures or flies CAN anyone help me out.My wife is getting bored not catching anything
Go early in the morning, before the sun has a chance to heat up the water. Trout shut off almost completely on hot days. Also, the warmer it is, the deeper you want to fish. By now, you’ll probably want to use a bottom-fishing rig for trout.
Since I primarily fish with artificials, I’m not the most up to date on bait fishing, but it basically comes down to giving the trout the food they want, when and where they want it. I know it sounds simple, but it’s tougher than you might think. if you’re not sure what they’re hitting on, bring a variety to the lake. Red worms, nightcrawlers, mealworms, wax worms, maggots, and a few different colors of pastebait are all good bets. Just keep trying different things until you find something they like. Also, dont be ashamed to ask that guy beside you what he’s using after he catches his ninth trout of the morning…he obviously knows what’s up!
Hope this helps a bit!
